{"id":435,"date":"2025-06-04T19:44:34","date_gmt":"2025-06-04T19:44:34","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/laruidosaoficina.com\/?p=435"},"modified":"2025-11-28T17:23:27","modified_gmt":"2025-11-28T17:23:27","slug":"la-no-escuela-ceremonia-de-los-organos-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/laruidosaoficina.com\/en\/la-no-escuela-ceremonia-de-los-organos-2\/","title":{"rendered":"The Non-School: Ceremony of the Organs"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"translation-block\">This program, developed with the support of the <a href=\"https:\/\/ccecr.org\/evento\/la-no-escuela\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Spanish Cultural Center in Costa Rica<\/a>, consisted of four facilitated sessions\u2014one in-person and three virtual. In the first session, we conducted a participatory consultation where attendees expressed their learning interests by associating different body parts with the knowledge they wished to explore. Based on this exercise, we defined the themes and approaches for the following sessions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"translation-block\">Each workshop featured guest participants who were experts in the respective topics. We designed a methodology that allowed for an exploration of each theme from theoretical, practical, and poetic perspectives. \n\nThe first session, *Ceremony of the Stomach*, explored food sovereignty through the preparation of fermented foods with guest facilitator Brenda Chaves from <a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/sula_cr_\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Huerto Sula<\/a>. The second session, *Ceremony of the Trachea*, addressed the politics of voice and introduced some basics of LESCO (Costa Rican Sign Language), featuring <a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/amandarodriguezcr\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Amanda Rodr\u00edguez<\/a>, singer-songwriter; <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nacion.com\/viva\/television\/la-historia-de-resiliencia-de-joselyn-sancho-la\/C6HEC3AOTNHLBGZW45N6HQYZL4\/story\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Joselyn Sancho<\/a>, LESCO interpreter; and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/handsonlesco\/photos\/leonel-lpez-ha-dedicado-su-carrera-a-la-bsqueda-de-soluciones-de-accesibilidad\/1632125946957527\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Leonel L\u00f3pez<\/a>, a member of the deaf community and LESCO teacher. The third session, *Ceremony of the Mammary Glands*, reflected on alternative ways of understanding health beyond the hegemonic medical system and engaged in the creation of genealogical trees. This session featured guest facilitators <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tedxpuravida.org\/expositores\/elena-zuniga\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Elena Z\u00fa\u00f1iga<\/a>, musician and singer-songwriter, and <a href=\"https:\/\/teatro-abyayala.org\/wp\/miembros\/roxana-avila\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Roxana \u00c1vila<\/a>, theater director and founder of the <a href=\"https:\/\/teatro-abyayala.org\/wp\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Teatro Abya-Yala<\/a> collective.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"\"><\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Este programa, desarrollado con el apoyo del Centro Cultural de Espa\u00f1a en Costa Rica, consisti\u00f3 en cuatro sesiones facilitadas, una presencial y tres virtuales.
