This workshop and Q&A session was developed in response to an invitation from the Education Module of Museo Jumex in Mexico. It is part of the public program Nunca más aprenderé de forma aburrida (I Will Never Learn in a Boring Way Again), aimed at teachers within the formal education system. We collaborated with Colectivo Error Pedagogía from Peru and Taniel Morales from Mexico to create this experience.
Our goal was to engage participants in a dialogue about the symbolic burdens often associated with the concept of "Education," which is frequently linked to obligation and regulation. We examined ways to reframe learning processes to be more dynamic, provocative, and emancipatory, using the idea of a "Party" as a concept to incorporate and translate its principles into educational spaces. Through this discussion, we collectively explored how and where the museum, as an institution, can position itself in relation to these dynamics and possibilities.
